05 Jan New Start-ups in the New Year
I love the New Year, it’s a chance to look forward to a year of opportunity with optimism and hope. We want to welcome all the new strivers and last term we worked with some fantastic programmes seeing lots of passionate people with brilliant ideas.
RBWM
It was great to be back in Maidenhead for the ninth time and meets lots of new strivers in the area. For our Dragon’s Den we were back to the Mcdonald Hotel in Windsor which was a great way to start the Christmas celebrations in style.
Raven/ Christ Central
In Redhill an equally enthusiastic group of Strivers met the same great Dragons would got involved in our first project here in 2014, shoeing how the dragons get as much out of the day as Strivers. They like it so much they keep coming back.
Genesis
We welcomed more Genesis residents looking at starting their own business in London more brilliant ideas, creativity and passion from a group tackling high fashion to employment rights with their new businesses.
Daventry District Housing/Spire Homes
Back for a third programme in area with a group who made friends for life showing how valuable it is to have that support within the group and now access to support from 100’s of other strivers.
Sovereign
It was also out third time back in Newbury and with the group growing in size every time we come there is a real appetite for help from people looking at self-employment as a real option.
Online has also proved a very popular option with Sovereign residents and it gives access to Strive for those unable to attend face to face training. We have now seen so many people complete the programme attend panels and Dragons Den’s.
It’s so exciting that so many people have been through Strive and are now looking at 2016 being their year.
