Woking Christmas Market, Christmas 2016

A week after the end of the specialist food business course in Woking, we held a wonderful Christmas Market with partners Thames Valley Housing and the Lighthouse. It was a real success, with over 500 people coming through the doors during the course of the day.

Our Strivers were ready for their first sales, alongside the festive treats and crafty gifts from other start-up and charity projects. The Strivers’ food stalls offered everything from; hot chocolate, scones, soups and cupcakes to vegan sarnies, Korean delights, Chinese dumplings, Malaysian curries, and Southern India treats. Five stalls even managed to sell out entirely – not bad for their first day of trading! We were also joined by businesses from other Strive programmes including TessKnit from High Wycombe, Forever Gem Stems from Maidenhead, and LammyLapp and We Love from Twickenham. All in all, a wonderful start to the festive season.
