06 Jan Strive Business Support Launched
Housing Solutions, Riverside Housing and Affinity Sutton are the first housing associations to partner with the Enterprise CUBE to offer this Strive support to their residents. An innovative approach to tackling resident unemployment, the Strive programme helps residents who are striving to start their own businesses.
Housing Solutions Strive programme kicked off with a taster session in December 2012 with 25 residents from the Maidenhead based housing association signed up to start training in January 2013. Housing Solutions recently won a NHF Community Impact award for their dedication in supporting residents to start businesses and the CUBE team are excited to helping them to build on their success.
Riverside Housing work extensively with residents who have experienced homeless and are offering Strive Further to this group to help them create their own routes into work. The founding partners of the Enterprise CUBE have extensive experience in designing acclaimed programmes for homeless people and are delivering the Riverside Housing programme personally.
Affinity Sutton offers year round support for it’s residents through Business Start Up grants, which offer the opportunity of up to £1,000 to start their own businesses. The Enterprise CUBE team will be delivering a range of one-off, intensive and distance training programmes to support resident in applying for the grants.
