19 Mar Theresa May praises entrepreneurial spirit!
Founders of Enterprise CUBE, Paul Funnell and Richard Lanning, along with six start-ups met the Prime Minster last week in Maidenhead, the place where Strive was born! The PM Theresa May, MP for Maidenhead visited the offices of Housing Solutions on Friday 16th March 2018. Housing Solutions and the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead are both long term partners of Enterprise CUBE supporting 18 Strive projects in the Borough since 2012.
Paul Funnell said, “Housing Solutions has been pioneering in recognising that’s its residents have skills and talents and the ability to start their own business. With the foresight of Housing Solutions and the Grow Our Own team at RBWM, Maidenhead has become a great place to start a business”.
Six start-ups who have graduated from the Strive Business Start-up Course were invited along to meet the PM and share their business successes. The prime minister praised the ‘entrepreneurial spirit’ of new business start-ups during the day, and enjoyed meeting 6 female entrepreneurs making a real impact in Maidenhead and beyond.
